Thank you and Very Best Wishes James

Alas the time has finally come to say farewell to James as he spends his last day with us tomorrow (Saturday).
James joined us in November 2020 as we went into Lockdown 2.0, and has been instrumental in bringing progress and positivity to the Club since then.

During his 2.5 years he has helped us win the Ultimate Customer Service Excellence Awards in 2021 as well as obtaining his GCMA Accredited Manager Level 2 last year. He also project managed the gents locker room refurb with outstanding results. Oh, and there’s the small matter of a driving range that now turns over more than 3 times what it did when James started and membership at levels few can remember.

There are many more accolades, but the true measure of his success is the high regard in which he is held by all his colleagues, as well as all sections of the club. The passion, energy and enthusiasm he has brought laced with infectious humour has made him a firm favourite with everybody.

James – on behalf of every section of St Austell Golf Club, every member, the whole team and committee members past and present who you have supported so professionally, we thank you and wish you all the very best at Mullion, and wherever else your future takes you. We will follow your career with interest if only to blag some cheap green fees down the line! Don’t be a stranger, you will always be a very welcome visitor.

There will be a presentation by Scott Snelling to James at 3pm in the clubhouse tomorrow for anybody who can attend.

Best wishes,

From all of us!
