Seniors Captain, Mervyn Beattie, hosted a Match today against Mullion defeating them 5 to 3 on a dry day at St Austell. The course was playing well and in fine condition with greens fast and true and some tricky pin positions. The overall match seesawed with all pairs either winning or losing comprehensively. Afterwards, to celebrate getting rid of the American colonies, Chef Nathan produced an American themed Cheeseburger and fries followed by Mississippi Mud Pie and Pecan pie which was well received.
Return match is scheduled for 27 October at Mullion (weather permitting).
