The first leg of the Annual Match against our friends from West Cornwall took place today in glorious weather. West Cornwall could only field a team of 10 pairs and as we had 12 pairs sign up we lent them a pair making 44 players in all. Thank you to the two pairs agreeing to this format.
St Austell won 6 – 5 and received the Trophy which we take back to West Cornwall on the 2nd July for the return match. The overall score over the two matches wins the Trophy for the year.
The match was followed by an excellent meal.
