We are pleased to inform you that the Club has appointed Danny Gallagher as our new Golf Course Manager.
Danny joins us with a strong background in golf course management and maintenance, and we are confident that his experience, professionalism and approach to course presentation will be of great benefit to the Club and its members.
Danny was recommended to the Club by our golf course agronomist Bruce Jamieson, who has worked with him previously and was able to make a personal introduction. Following this recommendation and a thorough selection process, the Executive felt that Danny was the best candidate to lead the ongoing care and development of our golf course.
Danny will work with Bruce to put a course improvement plan into action. This plan is being created by Bruce for our green keeping team. Bruce will also write a report of what he learned during his visit earlier this month, and this will be shared with everyone over the next few weeks.
Danny will be taking up his role on the 18th May and he is very much looking forward to meeting members and working closely with the Club to maintain and further improve the high standards of our course.
We look forward to welcoming Danny to St Austell Golf Club and we wish him every success in his new role.
