Senior Section Treasurer Peter Groocock presented a cheque for the sum of £1,350 to St Austell GC seniors captain Mick Maguire. This was in respect of monies raised by Mick for his charity Prostate Cancer UK.
Asked why he chose this charity Mick said “The demographics of the Seniors Section dictated that I went with this charity “He pointed out that 1 in 8 men will suffer prostate problems in their lifetime and, with the literature supplied by Prostate Cancer UK, it was an opportunity to enlighten the younger members of the club.
He thanked all members of the club and visitors alike for their generous support to the charity.
